Collections Account Representative
Full time Monday – Friday 8:30AM-5:30PM
Glen Rose Medical Center of Glen Rose, TX is currently seeking a FT Collections Account Representative. The ideal candidate will be responsible for making and receiving telephone calls to resolve account balances. Including contacting the insurance company for follow up collection, third party vendor, contacting the guarantor for more information, claim stat using, accurate data entry. The ideal candidate will evaluate and resolve payment and contractual discrepancies. Initiates appeals and refunds necessary. Reports compliance concerns related to billing and collections process. This position requires handling of accounts in a professional manner.
Principle Duties & responsibilities:
- Previous exp in a hospital bus office working with insurance companies
- Working knowledge of EOB’s, CPT/HCPC and ICD-10 codes, UB04
- Familiarity with medical terminology
- Good PC skills, problem solving, organizational and verbal communication skills
- Claims processing and follow-up including experience with Commercial, Blue Cross/Blue Shield, Tricare, and Managed Care knowledge
- Researches and resolves claim delay issues
- Provides documentation to expedite payment
- Uses collections techniques to keep accounts current including monitoring
- Works from ATB and/or collection file track
- Works accounts not paid in 31 days or over
- Performs insurance collections, such as follow-up on unpaid accounts receivable through telephone contact or by means of online tools
- Maintains appropriate records, files and documentation
- High School diploma or equivalent skills
- Understanding of health care business service functions including billing, collections, insurance, and appeals
- Medical collection experience preferred, strong medical claims experience and understanding of healthcare reimbursement preferred
- Prior use and experience with computer applications and 10-key
Monday – Friday 8am – 5pm with occasional weekends
The Maintenance Tech is part of a team responsible for the maintenance of the hospital facility and to its utilities. Responsible for creating and maintaining a safe environment for patients, personnel and visitors. To maintain a close communication and cooperation with all departments within the facility. Conduct daily mail and specimen pick up at satellite location. Must be competent to conduct scheduled fire drills and educate employees on fire extinguisher location and usage. Must be able to take direction well from supervisor and assistant as well take initiative and assume responsibility in director’s absence. Must be able to take weekly On Call support at least once a month. All job functions are carried out according to Glen Rose Medical Center’s Policies and Procedures and Mission/Vision Statement. The Maintenance Technician reports directly to the Director Engineering
A qualified person must possess good working knowledge of how to use hand tools, power tools and basic plumbing. A working knowledge of basic electrical is beneficial. Must have a clean driving record.
General good health and stress coping ability. Sits, walks, stands, climbs, bends and lifts intermittently throughout the working day. Full mobility and ability to participate in vigorous activity when inspecting, supervising and performing work. Handles and manipulates tools, equipment, and office materials. Able to make emergency decisions working under stress. Ability to speak and hear to allow discussions with patients and peers, as well as making accurate physical assessments. Must always practice recommended safety measures when using tools. Must have the ability to work in hot and cold environments. Must be capable of lifting objects up to 50lbs without pain or discomfort.

- 5 years experience in building maintenance, plumbing, and basic electrical is preferred
- CPR Certified required. May be allowed 6 months to obtain on campus.
Central Supply Clerk
The Central Supply Clerk is a non-professional health care employee who, under the direction and supervision of the Material Management Director, serves a variety of functions in the Central Supply Department, including receiving shipments, distributing orders, stocking departments, and other duties.
Good general health and stress coping ability. Full mobility and ability to participate in vigorous activity. Must be physically able to lift, support and move 50+ lbs. of equipment and supplies. Needs to be familiar with office equipment, have basic computer knowledge and be proficient in excel.
High school graduate preferred not required. This position is fast paced and requires great attention to detail. Good written and verbal skills a must. Medical terminology helpful not required. CPR Certification is preferred not required.
This position is PRN or as needed.
Medical Assistant/Physician Clinic
The Office Medical Assistant is responsible for assisting the physician in the care of patients. In collaboration with Administration plans, supervises all technical and business operations of the office to include ordering supplies, facilitating written communication with patients and physicians, calls to pharmacies, schedule patients, etc.. Maintains Office in accordance with the standards established by the Hospital, Federal, State, Joint Commission and local standards. Maintains appropriate paperwork for Official records. Position provides direct care to patients of all ages. All functions of the Office are carried out according to the Glen Rose Medical Center’s Mission Statement and policies. The Office Assistant reports directly to the Physician regarding clinical services and to the Chief Operating Officer regarding business functions.
Good general health and stress coping ability. Full mobility and ability to participate in vigorous activity. Ability to speak and hear to allow discussions with patients and peers as well as make accurate physical assessments. Possesses visual acuity for accurate reading of equipment and recording on patient charts. Must be physically able to assist patients of all sizes according to proper procedure.
Minimum one year of experience as a Medical Assistant in a similar office setting is preferred. Medical Assistant Training through an educational program may be substituted. LVN with experience preferred. CPR certification required. Must be knowledgeable of equipment used in pertinent clinical areas
RN/PRN/ Med Surg (Nights)
Registered Nurse for Med Surg Department: Provides direct and indirect patient care in the inpatient setting and accurately makes assessments. Provides care that reflects initiative, flexibility and responsibility indicative of professional expectation with a minimum of supervision. Is able to perform general nursing duties in all departments. Must maintain overall good general health and must be physically able to lift, support and move patients. Performs all job functions in accordance with Glen Rose Medical Center’s Policies and Procedures and Vision/Mission Statement.
ER/ RN /PRN
Provides direct care and indirect patient care in the ER setting. Provides care that reflects initiative, flexibility and responsibility indicative of professional expectation with a minimum of supervision. Is able to triage safely, rapidly and on physical and psychosocial needs, as well as factors influencing patient flow through the system. Additionally, is able to perform general nursing duties in all departments with adequate supervision. Performs all job functions in accordance with Glen Rose Medical Center’s Policies and Procedures and Vision/Mission Statement. The Registered Nurse reports directly to the Chief Nursing Officer.

We need help transporting patients to and from the SeniorCare Program for their mental health treatment. We are looking for individuals with excellent driving records and excellent customer service skills. This is often a split shift and perfect for a retired individual who wants just a few hours here or there.
PRN Medical Assistant for the Behavioral Health Program at Glen Rose Medical Center
We have openings for PRN Medical Assistants for the SeniorCare mental health program. We need individuals who can fill in when our census increases or to cover staff time off. This may include anything from a split shift driving patients to and from the program in the program van, to a longer work day assisting with registration, helping with nursing duties and assisting patients. We require an excellent driving record and customer service skills. This position is perfect for someone who is retired who wants just a few hours here or there.
PRN Licensed Therapist for the Behavioral Health Program at Glen Rose Medical Center
We have openings for PRN Therapists to help cover staff vacations or increased patient census in the SeniorCare Intensive Outpatient Program. Therapists facilitate group therapy sessions and interact therapeutically with patients with severe mental health issues. This position is perfect for someone who is retired or semi-retired, only needing a few hours here or there. Requirements include LMSW, LCSW or LPC with 3 years related experience. Must be able to assist senior patients transfer in and out of chairs and help with wheelchairs etc. We require our clinical staff to have excellent clinical and customer service skills.
PRN Hospital Housekeeping
The housekeeper is responsible for providing housekeeping support for designated areas in the hospital, essential in maintaining sanitation standards. Environmental service workers primarily handle room readiness in patient areas and general cleanliness procedures in staff and public areas. Provides no direct patient care. All job functions are carried out according to Glen Rose Medical Center’s Policies and Procedures and Mission Vision Statement. The housekeeper reports directly to the Housekeeping Supervisor.

PRN Radiology/CT Tech
The Radiology/CT Technologist is responsible for producing diagnostic radiographs and computed tomography procedures according to accepted standards utilizing appropriate protocols. The technologist also assists the Radiologist with fluoroscopy and operates the C-arm for surgical exams when necessary. The technologist is responsible for educating patients regarding procedures and obtaining consents when required.
