We're really not sure who feels better — our volunteers or our residents! If you’re a person who receives joy from giving of yourself, we have opportunities at our Nursing and Rehab Center that literally change the lives of our community’s treasured older adults.
Do you have one hour (or more) per week, or even one hour per month that you would commit to helping with our activities program? We have regular weekly opportunities as well as flexible and specially scheduled activities. Just about any time of the day or evening and any day of the week,
you are welcome and
needed. You don’t have
to have a special talent,
though we’ll certainly
use the ones you offer.
Your presence and your
caring is a gift in itself.
And if you know how to make someone laugh, bring your funny bone! “Humor therapy” is now widely recognized. Laughter has specific effects on the body including increased breathing, oxygen use, and heart rate, which stimulate the circulatory system. When you have a good laugh, you know how it feels. The world is brighter, lighter.
