Glen Rose Medical Center is not the only hospital claiming to give “some of the best care anywhere.”Saying that is easy. Providing it in a day of nursing shortages is not. So we have made it
one of our key goals to offer our patients
four things:
- An unusually high percentage of
Registered Nurses
- Staffing to provide you with twice the nursing care — literally twice as many hours of nursing care as most hospitals allow
(yet not at the expense of our nurses’ rest or time with their families)
- Caring nurses who are happy in their jobs
- Highly trained nurses
Satisfaction surveys from a national study of
more than one million patients identified factors
that affect their likelihood of recommending a
hospital. Of the top ten
factors, six were related
to the quality of nursing
care. If you’ve spent one
night in a hospital, you
know why.
At a time when the
national headlines focus
on the life-endangering effects of nursing cutbacks, it is good to know that here at home
Glen Rose Medical Center focuses on patient care. Our nurses don’t view you as a chart but as a champion, fighting to regain health. Achieving your fullest recovery is the reason we’re here. That’s why GRMC not only gives each patient more nursing hours, but also employs an unusually high percentage of Registered Nurses — and we pay for their continuous training and certifications.
Whereas many hospitals battle nursing shortages and high turnover, most of our nurses have been with GRMC for over four years. Our Director of Nurses says, “These are the most compassionate nurses I’ve ever worked with. They treat our patients like family.” GRMC nurses are on call, they come and they care — even when you don’t call. And, yes, it matters!
