Licensure/Certification/Experience Requirements:

Current ARRT registry in Radiology

Requirements:

  • Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing with up to (6) months Registered Nurse Experience preferred
  • Licensure in the State of Texas as a Registered Professional Nurse (RN)
  • Current BLS certification
  • TNCC within one year of hire for ER
  • PALS or ENPC
  • English equivalency for communication
  • Basic computer knowledge

Housekeeping

Full Time Days        6:30 a.m. – 3:30 p.m.

Full Time Evenings 3 p.m. – 11 p.m.

The housekeeper is responsible for providing housekeeping support for designated areas in the hospital, essential in maintaining sanitation standards. Environmental service workers primarily handle room readiness in patient areas and general cleanliness procedures in staff and public areas. Provides no direct patient care. All job functions are carried out according to Glen Rose Medical Center’s Policies and Procedures and Mission Vision Statement. The housekeeper reports directly to the Housekeeping Supervisor.

Physical Requirements:

General good health and stress coping ability. Sits and walks intermittently throughout the work day. Full mobility and ability to participate in vigorous activity when performing work. Handles and manipulates equipment and office materials. Able to make emergency decisions working under stress. Ability to speak and hear allow discussions with patients and peers .

Education:

  • Ability to read and write.
  • Ability to understand and carry out safety procedures and adhere to warnings.
  • Previous hospital housekeeping experience a plus.
  • Knowledge in operating floor care equipment.

 

Nurse Aide: CNA or MA    PRN (Day and Night Shift)

The Nurse Aide, under the direction of a Registered Nurse or Licensed Vocational Nurse, delivers care to Clients of all age groups.   The Nurse Aide assists in providing quality patient care by performing basic nursing tasks. All functions are carried out according to the Glen Rose Medical Center Mission Statement and Policies. The Nurse Aide reports to the Charge Nurse who reports directly to the C.N.O of the Hospital. Good general health and stress coping ability. Full mobility and ability to participate in vigorous activity. Must be able to lift fifty pounds or more and be able to walk alone, turn, pivot, and bend as needed to perform all the required duties.   Must be physically able to lift and move patients.

Central Supply Clerk

The Central Supply Clerk is a non-professional health care employee who, under the direction and supervision of the Material Management Director, serves a variety of functions in the Central Supply Department, including receiving shipments, distributing orders, stocking, and assisting the Director with department orders for supplies.

Good general health and stress coping ability. Full mobility and ability to participate in vigorous activity.  Must be physically able to lift, support, and move 50+ lbs of equipment and supplies.

Must be a high school graduate (or GED). Preferably possess current health care experience and is knowledgeable regarding basic patient care concepts and hospital functions.  This position is fast paced and requires a proficient typist with good computer skills and great attention to detail.  Good written and verbal skills a must.  Medical terminology helpful.  CPR Certification is required and classes are provided by hospital.

This position is part time Mon-Fri 8-12.

Assistant Director of Engineering/Safety (Lead Maintenance Tech)

Duties:  responsible for assisting in the physical safety of the hospital and to its utilities. Assists in the responsibility of maintaining a safe environment for all patients, personnel, and visitors.  Adheres to the maintaining of the maintenance records, procedures and assists in the execution of an effective safety management program through complete information collection and evaluation system in regard to TJC, NFPS, OSHA, TDH, FDA, DOT and any other local, state, or federal regulatory agency. Must be A High School graduate or have equivalent with 5 years of experience in such fields as stationary engineering, building maintenance, plumbing and electrical engineering.

Experience:

Five to ten years of progressive experience in maintenance work is required.The Lead Maintenance Technician is responsible for the physical safety of the hospital, outside grounds and to its utilities and responsible for maintaining a safe environment for all patients, personnel and visitors.  This position will be charged with assuming all responsibilities in the maintenance director’s absence up to and including daily maintenance, emergency maintenance, housekeeping issues and the direct supervision of department personnel. Must be able to make emergency decisions working under stress and show excellent verbal and listening skills while communicating to allow discussions with vendors/customers/patients and peers, as well as making accurate physical assessments and alerting administrative staff to critical incidents.  All job functions are carried out according to Glen Rose Medical Center’s Policies and Procedures and Mission/Vision Statement.

The Lead Maintenance Technician reports directly to the Director of Engineering/Safety.

Medical Office Assistant ( Physician Clinic)

The Office Medical Assistant is responsible for assisting the physician in the care of patients. In collaboration with the physician and the Office Manager plans and executes all technical, clinical and business operations of the office to include ordering and stocking supplies, facilitating written communication with patients and physicians, calls to pharmacies, insurance verification, schedule referrals, take vitals and assist in procedures. Maintains the office in accordance to the standards established by the Hospital, Federal, State, Joint Commission and local standards.  Maintains appropriate paperwork for Official records.  This position provides direct care to patients of all ages.  All functions of the Office are carried out according to the Glen Rose Medical Center’s Mission Statement and policies.  The Medical Assistant reports directly to the Physician regarding clinical services and to the Office Manager regarding business functions.

Requirements:

minimum of one year of experience as a Medical Assistant in a similar office setting is. Medical Assistant Training through an educational program may be substituted.  LVN with experience preferred.  CPR certification required.  Must be knowledgeable of equipment used in pertinent clinical areas. Prefer an office nurse with insurance and referral background.

Phlebotomist/PRN

Responsible for accurately obtaining blood samples via venipuncture and capillary collection procedure with minimum customer discomfort. Provides care to patients whose ages range from infant to geriatric. Ensures specimen integrity by adhering to the laboratory’s procedures for specimen collection, handling, and processing. Adheres to departmental policies and procedures to include departmental programs, quality control, quality assurance, and safety.

Certified Scrub Tech

Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) is a member of the surgical team who works with surgeons, anesthesiologists and certified registered nurse anesthetists, registered nurses, and other surgical personnel in delivering patient care and assuming appropriate responsibilities before, during, and after surgery. The CST acting as a scrub person handles the instruments, supplies, and equipment necessary during the surgical procedure. Must have an understanding of the procedure being performed and anticipate the needs of the surgeon and maintain a sterile field. Good general health with ability to work in a high stress environment. Must have full mobility with the ability to stand in one place for long periods of time.  The employee must be capable of lifting and/or moving up to 50 pounds.

 High School Diploma is required.

    • Must be a graduate from a surgical technology program accredited by the Committee on Allied Health Education and Accreditation (CAHEA) or another avenue of entry otherwise acceptable to the Liaison Council on Certification for the Surgical Technologist.
    • Initial certification is bases upon satisfactory performance on the national certifying examination.
    • CST’s maintain their certification by accruing appropriate contact hours of approved continuing education, as required by their governing body.
    • Must be currently certified in basic CPR & re-certified every two years.

Collections Account Representative

 Full time Monday – Friday 8:30AM-5:30PM

 Job Summary

Glen Rose Medical Center of Glen Rose, TX is currently seeking a FT Collections Account Representative. The ideal candidate will be responsible for making and receiving telephone calls to resolve account balances.  Including contacting the insurance company for follow up collection, third party vendor, contacting the guarantor for more information, claim stat using, accurate data entry.  The ideal candidate will evaluate and resolve payment and contractual discrepancies.  Initiates appeals and refunds necessary.  Reports compliance concerns related to billing and collections process.  This position requires handling of accounts in a professional manner.

Principle Duties & responsibilities:

  • Previous exp in a hospital bus office working with insurance companies
  • Working knowledge of EOB’s, CPT/HCPC and ICD-10 codes, UB04
  • Familiarity with medical terminology
  • Good PC skills, problem solving, organizational and verbal communication skills
  • Claims processing and follow-up including experience with Commercial, Blue Cross/Blue Shield, Tricare, and Managed Care knowledge
  • Researches and resolves claim delay issues
  • Provides documentation to expedite payment
  • Uses collections techniques to keep accounts current including monitoring
  • Works from ATB and/or collection file track
  • Works accounts not paid in 31 days or over
  • Performs insurance collections, such as follow-up on unpaid accounts receivable through telephone contact or by means of online tools
  • Maintains appropriate records, files and documentation

Lab Secretary

The Clinical Laboratory Secretary performs secretarial and clerical duties. Responsibilities include, accessioning requisitions, answering telephone, filing, sending copies of reports, billing, and resolving insurance and billing issues. Assists in other areas of laboratory as needed. Performs all job functions in accordance with Glen Rose Medical Center’s Policies and Procedures and Vision/Mission Statement. The Clinical Laboratory Scientist reports directly to the Laboratory Director.

Radiology Scheduler

Full-time 8:00am to 5:00pm Monday through Friday
The Radiology Scheduler is responsible for scheduling outpatient radiology procedures by coordinating with patients, doctors’ offices, and the business office. The Radiology Scheduler also provides billing information to the radiologists’ group, copies reports into the medical record, and any other clerical work as assigned by the Director of Radiology.

Job Details: Registering all patients and collecting co-pay/deductible portions of patients  insurance or Self pay patient presenting for services in the area you are covering in according to policies and procedures established by the Glen Rose Medical Center.  Provides coverage for Switchboard                   Operator/Cashier as assigned.  Ensures registration/communication work is done in a manner to promote positive relationships with patients, physicians, hospital departments and visitors.
