October was a busy month for the staff at Glen Rose Medical Center as we volunteer in the community to serve with several organizations. The first week in October we were happy to volunteer at one of the aid/rest stops for the cyclists participating in the Paluxy Pedal. The Paluxy Pedal is sponsored by LDL Educational Resources of Somervell County. The Paluxy Pedal brings several hundred cyclists from all over the state to ride the hills of Somervell County. Glen Rose Medical Center partnered with LDL again for the Drive-Thru Flu Shots giving over 300 vaccinations as well as vaccinating over 100 children at the pediatric flu shot program. GRMC also participates with the United CO-OP to provide a health fair for CO-OP employees/spouses and members of the CO-OP, the CO-OP hosts the health fair at Glen Rose High School serving several hundred members and employees. We are gearing up, for the remainder of 2015 with a number of exciting things on the calendar.
The SeniorCare Program saved my life (literally). The staff, the psychiatrist, the nurse, the counselors and all involved were wonderful.

I considered the staff to be extra above and beyond normal caring. The doctor was wonderful.
